Typo Mythologies: Oded Ezer dreams up an ancient myth about the origin of letters
This is the story about a tribe in Africa, the last people unveiled to western civilization. They believe that their fathers were aliens from outer space, half letters, half human beings who lived billions of years ago. Once, they sinned against their god, who then punished them by dividing the body from the letter - and that is how humans and language were created. These clay figures are the gods that they pray to.

This project is also featured in Oded's first monograph Oded Ezer: The Typographer‘s Guide to the Galaxy to be published by Gestalten in April 2009.
